24 weeks and doing great!

Okay so this last day hasn't been so much fun.. but oh well. What kind of pregnancy would it be without at least one visit to Labor and Delivery right?! I went in with abdominal pain this afternoon and when they put the monitor on for baby's heart rate it sounded funny.. The midwife ended up fitting me in with ultrasound today instead of waiting until next Thursday.

The ultrasound tech was really nice and she confirmed that baby was a boy :) Then she went into a full blown scan of baby's heart. She said that it looked great but that he has an arrhythmia.. Well of course I freak out because I don't know what that means for our little boy when he is born. The midwife didn't seem to act like it was that big of a deal, so I will just ask my doctor next Thursday about it.

She also did a thorough exam of my placenta and seemed shocked when I told her that the last ultrasound tech told me that I had a complete placenta previa. She left to talk to the doctor about doing a vaginal ultrasound since I am on pelvic rest. When she came back she told me that he said it would be fine. She told me that my ultrasound showed that my cervix was clear and there was no placenta in the way! She also told me that she couldn't tell me if I would need a c-section yet because the ultrasound report wasn't back yet and the placenta has to be at least 2 cm away from the opening for me to do a normal delivery. So, I will also have to wait until Thursday to find that out :)

All in all everything is okay, I just have some unanswered questions that I would be ecstatic to know the answer to :)
